Hydrogen
Power
Hydrogen power is something that scientists and engineers have
been trying to tap into for decades. Who can forget the awesome
power of the hydrogen bomb? It's is this kind of hydrogen power,
however, that has given H2 used in an alternative fuels setting
a bad name.

Hydrogen Power

This and of course the Hindenburg disaster. The Hindenburg did
not blow up become of the powerful hydrogen onboard. At the day
it was built the skin of the dirigible was coated with something
we call rocket fuel today. It was the skin of the dirigible that
actually burn in caused the disaster and not the hydrogen.
Hydrogen power can be harnesses for use in the automotive industry.
Everyone already knows about the hydrogen power in NASA rockets
as used as a propellant. But, hydrogen power can be harnessed for
cars as well.
Hydrogen is the smallest, lightest and most abundant element in
the universe. That said, very little H2 is naturally occurring.
It is usually found in other compounds such as water and fossil
fuels.
But, hydrogen power is indeed a force to be reckoned with as H2
is both flammable and combustible. That is why hydrogen internal
combustion engines use its power to propel a vehicle. Hydrogen
generators on the other hand, supply supplementary hydrogen
to a gasoline or diesel powered engine to help the fuel burn more
cleanly and completely.
Hydrogen is powerful and must be handled with care when used in
a vehicle. A hydrogen fuel cell car actually used a high strength
tank filled with compressed H2 up to 10,000 psi to help the vehicle
travel over a long range.
Hydrogen generators are seen to be safer in that they create hydrogen
on demand from the inert substance of water and very little
hydrogen is in the pipeline at any one time. Vehicles with these
types of generators will use hydrogen power, which has a lower flame
temperature than gasoline, to increase mileage and lower emissions.
When hydrogen power is used as a fuel additive, this means, the
car will be a little greener, last a little longer with a cleaner
engine, fewer oil changes and a little more horsepower. So, don't
underestimate hydrogen power when used in an automobile. It's a
very clean solution that is available now.
